I wake up to see you beside me
No makeup on but still a beauty
You kiss my lips and then you smile
And say good morning, rise and shine
When I'm with you it's a state of grace
Every little thing falls right into place
You make the sun shine on a rainy day
And bring out colors from the grey
Coffee tastes sweeter when you're around
A smile always on my face, never a frown
You know what to say and when to say it
Motivating me when I'm about to quit
We are like sailors on a million dollar ship
And at times the sea is not as smooth as silk
We fight, we scream, we both get mad
We have good days, but we also have bad
You constantly argue about some things
Such as me hanging out with my friends
You keep saying I don't give you much time
And that I no longer want you mine
But when it's you who's out at night
With your girls and bffs drinking wine
You don't hear a single word from me
Because I know you won't even listen to me
Then came one Friday night, as I got home
I went straight away to the masters bedroom
You'll never see it coming, what I saw next
Two bodies in the bed, happily having sex
My mind went blank, my sight grew dim
And all at once I grabbed my things
I stormed out of the house, never to return
I had to forget, I had to move on
After three long years of being the one
It all finally ended coz you found another man
