CRIMINAL PROCEDURE
Course description: A study of Rules 110 to 127 of the Revised Rules of Criminal Procedure
including the Revised Guidelines for Continuous Trial of Criminal Cases (A.M. No. 15-06-10-SC) and
applicable jurisprudence. The course covers jurisdiction of courts and the procedure in criminal
cases, particularly the prosecution of criminal offenses, filing of criminal complaints, arrest of a
suspect, searches and seizures including the Rule on Cybercrime Warrants (A.M. No. 17-11-03-SC),
rights of the accused, modes of review and remedies available in case of adverse judgment and the
effects of convictions.
