The Bag of Gold

Two miserly friends found a bag filled with gold by the roadside. They wished to

take it away but the bag weighed too much. With much labor, they succeeded in

moving it to the opposite side of the road. Then one of them starts out to the city in

order to look for a donkey. The other one remained to keep an eye on the gold until the

return of his friend. When his friend returned, they happily brought the bag of gold to

their house.

Amici duos averus reperiebant saccum auri secundum viam. Cupiebant auferre

sed saccus magni ponderis esse. Cum multum laborum, succedebant in movendum

ultra viam. Tum, quidam incipiebat ad civitatem ut quaerere asellum. Reliquus

manebat custodire in aurum dum reditum amici. Ubi amicus suus redebat, feliciter

afferebant saccum auri ad suum domum.
