Separate each blade root fork (1) from the rotor hub (2) as follows:
(2) “Remove lockwire from bolts (3) at each end of inboard tension-torsion bar pins (4). Remove bolts
and washers (5), and tap out the pins, using a soft metal drift or hardwood dowel,
(2) Remove nut (6), washer (7), spacer (8), and withdraw the collective pitch incidence arm (9) from
blade root fork.
(3) Slide blade root fork and attached tension-torsion plate assembly (10) out of hub bore.
b. Disassemble each blade root fork as follows:
(2) Remove nut (11) and washer (12) retaining outboard tension-torsion bar pin (13); tap out the pin with
a fiber drift or plastic mallet. Remove tension-torsion plate assembly from the tock.
CAUTION: DO NOT DISASSEMBLE TENSION-TORSION PLATE ASSEMBLY COMPONENTS (31, 8 and 39).
INSPECTION SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED
IN PARAGRAPH 2-9,
(2) Remove retainer ring (14) from groove in the root fork.
(3) Remove inboard bearing spacers (15) {rom root fork.
2 Use fork bearing puller assembly, Special Tool 92185, for simultaneous removal of rotor fork ring
(20), eutboard bearing spacers (17), outboard inner race (18), inner race spacer (19), and Inboard Inner race (20)
from blade root fork. (See figure 2-4.)
NOTE: Make certain that the inner race of each bearing set is identified for position and direction of installation
prior to removal.
€. Disassemble each side of rotor hub as follows:
(2) Removelubrication fitting (21, figure 2-3) from hub outboard end,
(3 Remove screws (22) ataching seal retaining ring (28) to hub outer end, and remove the retainer ring.
(3) Remove and discard outer grease seal (24).
(4) Extract bearing retainer ring (25) from hub groove.
(5) Use puller, Special Tool 92083, to remove inboard bearing (26), spacer (27) and outboard bearing
(28) from hub bore. “Make certain puller Jaws are fully expanded against inboard edge of inboard bearing to seold
damaging bearings.
(8) After removal, identify bearings as to location and direction of installation.
