any new vocabulary students might encounter while completing the activity.

always looking for information on the website. Discuss any facts they might find.

Follow-up:
1)Teacher will ask students to imagine they are owners of a zoo. They will have
to prepare a brochure including the name of their zoo, information about the
animals, restaurants, opening and closing time, terms of entry, contact
information, etc. They will have to include pictures downloaded from the web
and draw a map for visitors. Provide a model for students to complete the task.
They need to know their brochure does not need to be as detailed as the
website.

2) T will ask students to choose their favourite animal and design a blog of it.
They can include facts, unusual facts, pictures, poems, jokes, etc.

Variation: cross-curricular. It is a good activity to work with in Science and


Social studies.
This activity can be adapted to compare and contrast zoos from the target
culture and zoos in our country. Tell students to choose the categories they
would like to compare. They can include as many categories as they want.
