ford you the opportunity to experience different teaching styles as well as alternative class-
room learning and etiquette.

3. Create a Network and Meet New People: You will meet many different people
with extremely different backgrounds than yourself. Meeting new people and sharing per-
spectives can be intimidating but by pushing yourself outside your comfort zone you can
make unforgettable friendships and memories.

4. Make Yourself More Marketable: Studying abroad can show future employers and
graduate schools that you have gained global perspective experience that others may not.
Having a global context in today’s world will provide you an advantange as you enter into
the work environment.

5. Learn Interpersonal Communication: Studying abroad uniquely teaches you how


to communicate across cultures, building the crucial skill of intercultural communication.
