God used the ark to take care of Noah’s family and the animals. How does God take care of you?
Have extra time in summer camp that you need to fill? This exciting activity is great for small
groups of kids. When the kids finish this project, they will also have a fun game to play. Kids
come up with a game name, a concept and design. They get to decide what to include on
their board game. Give kids popular board game ideas for inspiration like Candyland, Sorry
or Parcheesi. You can even have their named engraved on the box with a laser cutter from
boss laser to make it even more unique.
Here is a list of supplies kids will need for this activity. You will need one set for each group.
Posterboard
Index cards
Ruler
Markers
Crayons
Pencils
Scissors
Bible
Dice or spinner
Playing pieces
Before the kids begin designing their game board, they should work together picking a
name. What will the game be about, the New Testament, the Old Testament or the entire
Bible? After they choose a name, they should create playing cards using the index cards.
These could give special instructions like, “Go back to the beginning” or “Move your piece to
the Prayer Room.”
For the actual board game layout, kids can use the ruler to create the design that the
players pieces will move along. I suggest they use pencil first, then when they get everything
just right, use a marker or pen.
Encourage them to color in the board but any text should be legible. If you don’t want them
to use dice, have them create a spinner to use. After they test the game, have the groups
present their bible board games.

This fun activity doesn’t have to be done in a day; as a matter of fact, this project works
better as a long term project, like over a few weeks or month.
When all the board games are complete, have kids share and play the games with other
groups in your kids’ church.

New Testament Books of the Bible Board Game
ministry-to-children.com/new-testament-books-of-the-bible-board-game
I am always working on ways to help my students, and my own children at home, to learn
the books of the Bible. They need consistent practice in order to remember them, let alone
be able to read them. So I have come up with a simple board game for students to practice
the New Testament books of the Bible. All you need is:
Game Board (download here) this could be 1 per every 2+ students, however many
children you want to play at a time
(this could even be laminated so it could be used multiple times)
Game Pieces – these could be anything!
1 die – to see how many spaces you get to go
That’s it! It’s a simple item to have in your bag if you have 10 extra minutes at the end of
class, or something that you actually have planned to do during your class time. As each
child goes through the board, encourage them to say each space out loud as they pass or
land on a space. By saying the books out loud (they are written in order), they will be
practicing the order of the books as well as how to even say the names of the books. There
are no negative spaces and the winner is the one who gets to the end first.

“I AM – Names for Jesus” Printable Game
ministry-to-children.com/i-am-names-for-jesus-printable-game
This is a board game for 2 to 4 players or teams. Children learn names used for Jesus in the
book of John as they move through the chapters of John and collect cards depicting these
titles.
Materials Needed:
Preparation:
1. Print the game board and the spinner on card stock or heavy paper.
2. For 2 players or teams, print 1 sheet of game cards on card stock or heavy paper; for
more players or teams, print 2 copies. Cut apart the cards. (picture 1)
3. Assemble the spinner using the safety pin and the brad. You may need to experiment
with sizes to find a combination that allows the spinner to spin freely. (picture 2)
1. Sort the cards according to picture, and place each pile of cards face up on the table
near the matching square on the game board.
2. Each player or team places a marker on the board on any square that does not
contain a picture. (picture 3)
3. When it is your turn, spin the spinner. Move counter-clockwise (in the order of the
chapter numbers) the number of spaces shown by the spinner.
4. If you land on a picture, take a card that matches the picture on the square, if you
don’t already have one.
5. If you land on a picture of Jesus, take any card that you don’t already have.
6. Keep moving around and around the board until you collect all six pictures. You do
not have to reach a certain square on the board to win.

used for Father’s Day or any time you want to emphasize the characteristics of God.
Print the bingo cards and the bingo calling cards on card stock or heavy paper, and cut
them apart.
Cut colored paper or cardboard into 1-inch squares to make markers (or choose to
use other markers).
Give each player a bingo card and a handful of markers. (Picture 1)
The leader draws a calling card, reads the statement, and holds the card up for
everyone to see. (Picture 2)
Each player with a square matching the calling card places a marker on that square.
The first person to get three markers in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally
wins the game. (Picture 3)
Dump the markers and start over. Players can trade cards if they wish.
Prizes are not necessary; kids love learning and playing games just for the fun of it.

In this game players collect all the pieces of the Armor of God while learning what they
represent. It can be used to introduce or to review this important topic. This resource would
be a good companion to our free lessons and coloring pages based on Ephesians 6:10-18.
Print one sheet for each player on card stock or heavy paper. (Picture 1)
Cut each sheet in half, and cut apart one of the halves into small cards. (Picture 2)
If you have more than five players, divide them into two or more groups to play.
For each group, shuffle the small cards and put them face down. Give each player a
card with all six pictures.
Players take turn taking a small card.
The player uses the small card to cover the matching picture on his/her card. (Picture
3)
If the picture is already covered, put the small card in a discard pile.
The first player to become completely armed (cover all the pictures on the card) wins
the game.
Prizes are not necessary; kids love learning and playing games just for the fun of it.
