ABSTRACT

The Effect of Down Payment and Interest Rates on Motorcycle Credit Sales Volume.
This research uses quantitative methods by distributing questionnaires and using primary data.
The location of the study was conducted at PT Permata Motor Group, located on Jl. Raya Karang
Anyar No. 49 Rt / Rw 13/04 Desa Kutakarya Kec. Kutawaluya-Karawang, West Java. The
research subjects are people who want to buy a motorcycle. Data collection is done by likert
scale method or questionnaire distribution. The data analysis technique used consisted of:
probability sampling with simple random sampling, multiple linear regression analysis.

The results of research at PT Permata Motor Group show (1) Variable X1 (down
payment), yielding t count of 8.305 with a significance probability of 0.000. Thus it can be
concluded that the variable down payment (X1) partially has a positive influence on the variable
credit sales volume (Y). Based on the above analysis, partial and simultaneous advances
variables have a positive and significant effect on credit sales volume variables. (2) Variable X2
(interest rate), produces t arithmetic of -518 with a significance probability of 0.606. Thus it can
be concluded that the interest rate has a negative and significant effect on the volume of credit
sales. (3) the down payment and interest rates on the volume of credit sales obtained an F count
of 75.640 with a significance level of 0.000 (Table 4.10), because the probability of the
significance less than 0.005, the regression model in this study can be used to predict the
dependent variable (Y), namely the volume of credit sales or it can be concluded that all the
independent variables in this study (X1, X2) simultaneously influence the dependent variable
(Y). Advances and interest rates together affect the volume of credit sales.
