Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy Level(s):

Levels of Technology Integration:

X Infusion Level: Students may work at a higher Bloom’s Level, but they do not have any “Voice or Choice”
during the activity and most of the decisions are made by the teacher.

☐ Integration Level: We would like to see ALL lessons/activities reach this level. The project is student-
driven. Students have “Voice and Choice” in the activities, selecting the topic of study and determining the
technology tool to demonstrate mastery of the standard. The teacher becomes more of a facilitator.
☐ Expansion Level: The projects created are shared outside of the classroom, publishing student work and
promoting authorship. This could be reached by showcasing the project on the school’s morning newscast,
posting the project to the classroom blog, or publishing via an outside source.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL):

This activity supports and enhances my student’s learning experiences by engaging my students in interesting
videos explaining the content they are learning and completing questions about the content as well to
practice. Also, they receive instant feedback and can be given goals for their assessment scores. I will provide
them the opportunity to retake assessments until they reach a goal score which will provide extra motivation
and engagement. Representation Is demonstrated in the videos they watch before the questions. Action is
shown in their assessments.

Lesson idea implementation:

This project will be introduced through a tutorial of how to use Khan Academy. Students will be watching a set
of videos and then answering practice questions that will act as their assessment. Teachers will be monitoring
student’s assessment scores to see where students still may be struggling in the standard. Students will be
watching videos on counting by 5’s between 1-1000 and then asked to fill in the blanks of the counting.
Students must make a 90% or above on the assessment before moving on to the next set of videos and
questions. I will be able to go over students “trends” in their learning when they complete this task to set
some more goals for them. To extend the learning I will increase the gaps between numbers.

Reflective Practice:
I feel like this activity will have a great impact on my students. It provides necessary and helpful instant
feedback along with a resource to look back on. To further extend this lesson I could involve collaboration
with other students during class time. I think Ipads would be great for this activity to make it even more hands
on.
