Work Alone Procedure
Work Alone Procedure
This procedure outlines the Mitcham Canada ULC important stance towards identifying working
alone conditions, identifying hazards relating to working alone conditions, and providing hazard
control measures to ensure that Mitcham staff are informed and protected from the hazards relating
to working alone conditions.
Mitcham Canada ULC considers its staff to be in a “working alone” condition when practical
assistance is not readily available to the staff member. Therefore, Mitcham Canada will ensure that
Alberta legislative requirements regarding working alone conditions are developed, implemented,
communicated, and followed by all Mitcham Canada ULC employees. This is to ensure there is an
understanding and comprehension of working alone hazards and conditions.
Workers who will be working in a working alone condition will be doing so with the assistance of
the related safe work practice & procedure on Working Alone. It is the responsibility of all
Mitcham Canada employees to follow the Working Alone procedure and safe work practice and
ensure that the employee will remain in contact with the Mitcham supervisor.
