In making picture essay, attached a picture of you in each situation. Please add an explanation on how it
relates to the situation.

1. Da Vinci's Mother and Child

What I had interpreted from this painting is that Jesus was grappling with a
lamb which symbolizes his passion but Virgin Mary was restraining him. If I
were in a situation like that it would have been me restraining myself from
my passion. My passion is still unclear as I like to overthink with thoughts.
For instance I think my passion is dancing but I don’t think I’m good at it is
what’s holding me back. There are other things I can consider my passion
but I’m not sure if it’s the one for me. On this picture it shows I’m walking
on train tracks which symbolizes to me that I’m still growing and walking to
find my passion. This picture relates to this situation as only I am
restraining myself by these thoughts but I will still continue to walk down
that path to find who I really am and what my passion is. Wether my
passion is right infront of me or I still have long journey to go to find my
passion.

2. Stopping Woods on a Snowy Evening - Robert Frost

This poem expresses so many symbols but I have chosen this picture
not necessarily because it fits the description. But as how this relates is
by exploring new parts of the world you have the desire to stick
around despite needing to leave. On this journey I had stopped and
took a few minutes to marvel nature’s beauty. As in the poem he had
stopped and admired the snow falling similarly to what I was doing. I
was drawn in by the snow and the peace surrounding the area. I had
the desire to stay and continue exploring in such little time. However
with that little time I had, I needed to leave. Therefore if I were in that
situation I think I would have done the same as it was similar to what I
have done but the poem relays different deep meanings depending on
how the reader interprets it.
3. I'm Nobody, Who are you? - Emily Dickinson

I think this poem assures me that it’s okay to be ‘Reem’. Most definitely
it’s okay to not be a social butterfly. I chose this picture considering I
can do things and be happy by myself. I don’t consider myself lonely just
because I like being alone I think this is one of the challenges of being
human as people tend to seek validation and socialization from others.
Not many people can find comfort in being alone but I think it’s
important to learn how to be alone and independent. This picture
represents I can be happy alone and not needing validation although it’s
part of human nature to seek attention. Although not being sociable can
cause other people to call me a “Snob”. I just know that in the end I
know myself and I can rely on myself for happiness and to find self-
worth doesn’t need to be dependent on external approval.
