GT Writing Task 1:

You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

A year ago, you lent your favourite book to a friend who you thought would enjoy
it. Unfortunately, your friend has forgotten to return it. The book has sentimental
value to you as it had been presented by your grandmother.

Write a letter to your friend. In the letter:

 ask how he or she is doing
 remind him/her about the book
 explain why you need it back

Write at least 150 words.

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Jack,

I hope this finds you well. It has been ages since our last meeting. How are you doing? Did you succeed
in getting yourself fit finally?

I hope the book I lent you last year was helpful to reach your goal, ‘weighing 66 Kilograms’. Don't get me
wrong here Jack, but I need it back. I am sure you forgot to return it, no problem I understand!

The book is very valuable to me. It was a gift from my grandmother. She has died recently and this
present is the only thing that reminds me of her. I don’t want to lose it. I can buy another one of course,
though it will not have the same value to me. If you are busy, you may just send it by post. Urgently
please!

I am looking forward to hearing from you. Kisses to all your family.

Best wishes,

Abdelkhalek.
