UNIVERSITY OF Controller of Examinations SIALKOT Prone om 3578182%, 052 3780078 eve ‘wurn.uskt edu.pk APPROVED ONLINE MID SEMESTER ASSESSMENT POLICY FOR FALL 2020 Following guidelines as approved by Worthy Vice Chancellor are shared with all concerned for ensuring smooth conduct of Online Mid Semester Assessment ( 2020) going to commence from 14" December, 2020 for 1* semester Students. 1, Duration of open book Mid Term Examinations shall be 2.5 hours including 1.5 hour (90 ‘minutes) for attempting the paper and rest of the 1 hour for uploading of atiempted lanswer sheet on Gmail, Students should receive datasheets/schedule of their mid- Semester assessment, Dy now. 2. All Deans and HoDs shall ensure preparation/revision of already submitted Question Papers (devised on the concept of Open Book Exams). There shall preferably be 02-04 ‘questions for BS/MA/M,Se programs and 03-05 for MS/M.phil programs. (Question papers Should be devised ensuring that students could conelude/ finish within the time limits, 3. Quality of Question paper in-line with open book examination policy shall be ensured by the concemed HOD and the Dean of the Faculy. 4, The teacher concemed shall prepare/tevise Midterm Examination paper and submit to the Head of Department on the above prescribed format till 11th December 2020. ‘5. Once the submitted paper is approved, the teacher concerned shall email the same question paper (9 the respective students, preferably on their official email address, as per notified {ate sheet by the Controller Office. Instructor will also keep Muhammad Safeer (Assistant Contrlier, Secrecy (muhammad .salver@uslt.edu,pk) and respective HoD in email CC. [No other person is allowed. 6. Instantly, the teacher concerned shall call the roll through zoom/whatsapp group and shall ‘compile attendance of the same and shall email the same to the HOD concerned and Muhammad Safeer (Assistant Controller, Secrecy (muhammad safcer@uskt.cdu.ph). 7. HoDs shall further ensure that Question Papers are ready least «8 hours before the commencement of each midterm examination, 8. Students shall be required to upload/submit pef file of hand written answer script on Toose sheets (with blue ink) within the stipalated time. As it is an open book paper so student can look af the relevant material and notes. Marks of all the questions should be Clearly mentioned for each question. Student should mention his/her name, university toll number and page number on each page. 9, ‘The teacher concerned shall reply to every student to acknowledge the receipt. 10. Solved seript received after due date and time shall not be considered. However, ‘considering justified genuine reasons the exception(s) (if any) shall be dealt as per USKT Examination Policy. The teacher concerned shall evaluate the received solved scripts and shall compile the Awards Sheet, 12, HoDs shall ensure that Results of MID semester assessment (containing af he components, 20 marks for Undergrad and 40 Marke for MS/Mphil students) should be submitted to Controller office with signature of teachers in hard form by O8th January 2021 positively + 80 that the same should be made readily available for record and reference. 13, Students may be guided in on-going online classes regarding conduct of Mid Term Open Book Exams and to contact their respective Deans/ HoDs and Teachers, in case of sy query or problem regarding/during the Online Conduct of Mid Term Exams 14. Student from distanvemote areas could avail university lab resourves for midterm examination with the prior approval of Competent Authority.
