O Hello, my name is Lisa, I'm from the 7th form school №2.

Today I would like to present you

a project about the climate of Simferopol and St. Petersburg. In comparison . To begin, I want to talk a
little bit about Simferopol.

O Simferopol
O Simferopol is the centre of the Crimea. The geographical position is almost in the middle of
the peninsula. Simferopol is the capital of the Crimea. By the standards of the new time, this is aquite
young town. In 2019 it will celebrate its 235th birthday.

O St.Peterburg
O In 1703, Peter the Great chose the place for the Foundation of St. Petersburg-the city that
became the capital of the Russian Empire. The city had a very good location, because the place where
the Neva flows into the Gulf of Finland, opened for Russia access to the Baltic sea, which was extremely
important at that historical moment.
O Thanks to the seaside location of St. Petersburg and got a specific, cool climate.
O In General, the climate of St. Petersburg can be described as moderate, but often too
changeable.

O St.Peterburg
O Winter time in St. Petersburg begins in December and ends in mid-March, from that time
comes spring and lasts until the beginning of June. With June in Peter comes summer, expectancy which
mostly reaches the mid-September.
ДОБАВИТЬ В ПООЕКТ
O The average temperature in winter is about -10 °C, spring + 3,5°C, summer + 25 °C, autumn
+4,3 °C.

O The average winter temperature is +0.2 ° C, spring +23°C, in summer +27°C, the fall of 16°C

O Simferopol
O A very mild winter there is in Simferopol. Summer is long and quite hot. Of course, there are
years when these statements can be questioned, but a cold and rainy summer in Simferopol is an
infrequent phenomenon.

O Conclusion
O The Crimean Peninsula, being located in the South of the European part of the CIS, is
provided with a large amount of heat not only in summer but also in winter. In December and January
here on the unit of the earth's surface per day receives heat 8-10 times more than in St. Petersburg.
