PS 2 Goals
1. Goal: During PS 2 I will practice using formative assessment to collect data for summative
assessment during my PS 3 period.
Inquiry Question: In what ways can I use formative assessment in the most effective way to
prepare for the summative assessment coming up in PS 3.
Strategies: Use exit slips, whiteboards, checklists, simple observations, asking questions
Evidence of Success: I will know that my formative assessment is successful when I have an
adequate idea of where each student is at, and what they need to work on next before I
perform my summative assessment.
Timeline: Every lesson

I met goal to some extent, as I was able to use many different forms of formative assessment,
and I have a good idea of how much students are understanding my lessons. I will continue using
and practicing different forms of formative assessment during PS III.

2. Goal: During PS 2, I will get to know the students through observation and interaction, as well as
build relationships.
Inquiry Question: To what extend can I get to know my students and build meaningful
relationships through observations and simple interaction?
Strategies: Watch carefully when TM is teaching and have small conversations with the
students.
Evidence of Success: I will know that I was successful when I feel like I know the students, their
characters, likes, dislikes, etc. I will also know that I was successful when I am able to make an
adequate new seating plan that will benefit all students by the end of this month.
Timeline: Daily

I was able to meet this goal, mainly through very careful observation. I now have a good idea of
the characters of my students, as well as some idea of their family dynamics and how they learn.
I was able to practice my knowledge by making a new seating plan according to students’ needs.
