Application

1. Laser engraving is especially popular in jewelry manufacture (particularly engraving of gold

and silver) and can be used to create works of art; there are also many industrial uses (e.g.
adding information onto parts and components).
2. Engraving with lasers can be used for traditional marking purposes such as serial numbers
and logos but has the advantage of depth which makes it popular for making stamps, dies
and moulds.
3. Laser engraving is extensively used in industries such as aerospace, automotive,
electronics, medical and also in semiconductor manufacturing.
4. Laser engraving is also heavily used for aesthetic personalization of items such as plaques,
tankards, trophies, medals and similar items.
5. In addition, laser engraving is often used for the creation of barcodes and tracking labels,
which has some similarities to marking processes
6. A laser system can help customize products to create unique, one-of-a-kind items that mean
something greater. Personalizing awards, skateboards, phone cases, guitars, laptop or any
other object can turn a great piece into the perfect gift.

Z-axis
1. A stepper motor will be placed in the engraving head, this motor will help to lift and lower the
drawing bot pen holder for drawing like printing an image.
2. When a signal is sent to the motor, the motor will rotate 45 degree which helps to lift (for
moving from one place to another while drawing) the pen holder setup which is guided by the
vertical metal rod placed near it.
3. To lower (for drawing/ writing) the pen holder setup, a signal pulse which is sent should be
cutoff then the pen holder setup will automatically come down by help of gravity to make
contact with drawing surface.
