1. A, a filipina and B, a Moroccan citizen were engaged and both living in Morocco. On February
14, 2020, they decided to tie the knot. With the advice of A, she convinced her fiancé to get
married in the Philippine Embassy or Consular Office based in Morocco. Is the marriage
conducted before the Consular Office valid? Explain.

2. A & Z got married and was solemnized by a pastor. After 2 months of being together, B
realized that he doesn’t really love A. Z filed a case against A to terminate their marriage. Can Z
use the absence of love to question the validity of their marriage? Why or why not.

3. X & Y are living together without the blessing of marriage for 2 years. After a long time, they
decided to get married but with meager funds, they wanted to be solemnized by the Mayor in
the Kasalan ng Bayan program of their town. During the scheduled date of the Kasalan ng
Bayan, the Mayor was on vacation leave however he designated the Vice-Mayor being the next
in rank to be the Acting Mayor and to take over the responsibilities for a short period of time
including the solemnization of marriage.

X & Y went to you being the pastor of their church and ask your knowledge regarding the
validity of their marriage. Being my student in the Minister and the Law, what would be your
best advice to the couple?
