Textile Reference Guide (Part 2)

1. Jeans

This is a picture of my jeans. The textile is woven and it is done very tightly. The type of weave
is twill and it is forming a diagonal line. The fabric is very strong and durable but stretches well.
According to the care label, this denim is made of 45% of cotton, 30% of Lyocell, 23% of
polyester, and 2% of Polyurethane. It can be washed in laundry and should be pressed with a
cloth when ironed.
2. Pants

Woven fabric is used for the pants. The fabric stretches moderately but it is not as thick as the
jeans I introduced above. Houndstooth (twill design) is applied for most of the part and it is
forming a diagonal line. According to the care label, the fabric consists of 98% of cotton and 2%
of Polyurethane. Because of the unique design, this fabric needs to be treated with care. It can be
washed in laundry but should be washed separately from other cloth and it should not be put in a
dryer.
3. Towel

This is a picture of a towel in the kitchen. The textile is woven and it is a pile fabric. The texture
is fluffy and the fabric absorbs water very well. There are loops projecting from the surface and
that is making the fabric three-dimensional. The fabric is 100% cotton and can be washed in
laundry with other cloth.
