It go to repository and download the rpm file

yumdownloader --resolve openssh-client

Dose two things it installs and removes


rpm -i--->Installing individul files
rpm -r--->remove
rpm -e filename--->erase file
rpm -i --nodeps openssh--->install a package without dependencies
rpm -K openssh-clients--->check signature is vali
rpm -iv *.rpm--->install and verbose
rpm -Vv filename--->Verify and verbose filename

verify and install packages

/etc/ssh/ssh_config
rpm -V erify and verbose
rpm -Vv--->V
QUERY

rpm -qi filename


rpm -qd filename--->query and documentation
rpm -qa--->all version

RPM2CPIO

copyio
rpm2cpio filename.rpm > stuff.cpio redirect to stuff.cpio
cpio -ivd <stuff.cpio create the files
