This is a newly installed laboratory; it realizes the process of the continuous improvement in the

laboratories of Electrical Engineering Department. The experiments that can be conducted in this
lab covers the latest advances in Electrical Power Systems, such as, distributed generation and
integration of renewable sources to power grid. It includes the following modules:
Power Generation Simulator.
Transmission Line Simulator – High Voltage.
Transmission Line Simulator – Medium Voltage.
Distribution and Substation Simulator.
Energy utilization static and dynamic loads and network equivalent.
Photovoltaic System parallel with a network.
Wind system parallel with a network.
Protection of machinery and power lines against overload, short circuit, earth fault.
Protection of lines and power transformers in radial and ring systems.
The electrical differential protections.
The distance protection relay.
Frequency protection relay.
Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition system.
