Clarifications
Please note that this document does not contain responses to all of the requests for clarification that
were received. The answers to some requests are already contained within the moot proposition, and
other requests were beyond the scope of the legal and factual issues that should be the focus of your
arguments in the memorials and during the oral rounds of the competition

1. Whether the entity LCRSO went on appeal along with the state?
 The Answer to this lies in the Moot Proposition.

2. What is the legal status of LCRSO student registered group?


 Yes

3. Whether LCRSO went on appeal or Petition?


 LCRSO along with several other helped tushar to file an appeal.

4. Whether the certificate has been issued by High Court?


 Certainly.

5. Do participant need to frame issues?


 Certainly.

Additional Clarification:

19. Consequently, students from several parts of the country along with the LCRSO started

agitating against the decision of High Court, which helped tushar to file an appeal in Supreme

Court challenging the order of High Court for convicting them merely for ‘culpable homicide not

amounting to murder’ but not for the ‘murder’ of Palak.


Note: Oral arguments should only be on “Appeal” and not on “Cross-appeal”.

Considering that some changes have been made recently, we are extending the last date for

memorial submission.
