Why do people admire celebrities?

This is an interesting question whose answer does not seem to be obvious for anyone.
Celebrities are most of the time depicted as super-humans: they are in good shape,
they are talented, they always wear fashionable clothes and sometimes they even
seem to have the perfect personal life. We admire celebrities because they are the
embodiment of the myth of perfection.

Being famous often means being exposed which requires a lot of self-confidence.
Why? Because people who want to become famous know this means sharing their
lives with the public and no one wants to hide when they are confident enough. It is
this confidence that is admirable, especially because most people do not have it.

As for the importance of celebrities, the fact that their existence is significant cannot
be denied. Most celebrities represent real role models for us and the stories of their
lives can serve as examples, life guides for us when we want to get inspired.
