XTF Fork Oil Motorcycle

Bardahl XTF Fork Oil is a premium quality hydraulic oil / lubricant designed to
maximize the performance of motorcycle forks or shocks. Bardahl XTF Fork Oil
contains components which minimize:
· Oil Oxidation
· Oil Foaming
· Gum and Varnish Deposits
· Seal Hardening
· Seal Leakage
· Wear of Components

The problem
The hydraulic systems in motorcycle forks and shocks put oils used in them to a
severe test.
· Hardening of Seals can cause fluid leakage and contamination of system with
water, dirt and sand. Unless checked, this condition will lead to fork or shock failure.
· Foaming of shock and fork oils reduces their effectiveness in dampening bumps.
· Oil oxidation leads to gum and varnish formation. These deposits can stick to fork
or shock "valves" and other premium parts and cause them to wear.
· Water and water vapor contamination of shock and fork oils can corrode critical
shock and fork parts.

Bardahl XTF Fork Oil is scientifically formulated to maximize motorcycle fork and
shock performance and life. Bardahl XTF Fork Oil contains:
1. Seal Swell components to restore and maintain seal pliability helping prevent
fluid leakage, sand, water and dirt contamination.
2. Anti-Foam compounds in XTF have been race proven! They act to minimize
foam under the most severe conditions.
3. Oil Oxidation inhibitors reduce oil oxidation and deposit build up. These
ingredients help prevent wear and maintain the performance of fork and
shocks.
4. Anti-Wear ingredients help minimize fork or shock component wear even in the
presence of contaminates.
5. Corrosion inhibitors to protect against rust formation on sensitive fork or shock
mechanisms.

Directions for use

Bardahl XTF Fork Oil is available in different viscosity grades from SAE 5 up to SAE
20. Use the viscosity of XTF recommended by your fork or shock manufacturer. If you
wish to change the suspension performance of your forks, use lower viscosity oils to
obtain a "softer" ride and more viscous oils to stiffen ride. Because of the high viscosity
index these fork oils can be considered as multigrade fork oils. The available range can
be seen as follows: 5W(20), 7,5W(20), 10W(30), 15W(30) and 20W(40).
