You are on page 1of 37

I was an orphan, lost at the fall;

running away when I’d hear you call,

But Father, you worked your will.

I had no righteousness of my own

I had no right to draw near your throne,

But Father, you loved me still.

And in love,

before you laid the world’s foundation,

You predestined

to adopt me as your own.

You have raised me up

so high above my station;

I’m a child of God by grace,

and grace alone

You left your home to seek out the lost;

You knew the great and terrible cost

But Jesus, your face was set.

I worked my ngers down to the bone;

Nothing I did could ever atone,

Jesus, you paid my debt.

fi
By your blood

I have redemption and salvation.

Lord you died

that I might reap what you have sown,

And you rose

that I might be a new creation.

I am born again by grace,

and grace alone.

I was in darkness all of my life,

I never knew the day from the night,

But Spirit, you made me see.

I swore I knew the way on my own;

Head full of rocks,

a heart made of stone

But Spirit, you moved in me.

And At your touch

my sleeping spirit was awakened;

On my darkened heart

the light of Christ has shone.

Called into a kingdom

that cannot be shaken;

Heaven’s citizen by grace,

and grace alone.

So I’ll stand in faith by grace,

and grace alone

I will run the race by grace,

and grace alone

I will slay my sin by grace,

and grace alone

I will reach the end by grace,

and grace alone

Man of Sorrows, what a name

For the Son of God who came

Ruined sinners to reclaim, hallelujah

Bearing shame and sco ng rude

In my place condemned He stood

Sealed my pardon with His blood

Hallelujah, hallelujah
ffi
Savior, You showed Your love

Defeated our sin,

poured out Your blood

So we praise You,

Lamb that was slain

We o er our lives to proclaim

What a Savior
ff
Guilty, vile, and helpless we

Spotless Lamb of God was He

Full atonement, can it be? Hallelujah

Lifted up was He to die

“It is nished” was His cry

Now in heav’n exalted high

Hallelujah, hallelujah
fi
Savior, You showed Your love

Defeated our sin,

poured out Your blood

So we praise You,

Lamb that was slain

We o er our lives to proclaim

What a Savior

When He comes, our glorious King

All His ransomed home to bring

Then anew this song we’ll sing

Hallelujah, hallelujah
Savior, You showed Your love

Defeated our sin,

poured out Your blood

So we praise You,

Lamb that was slain

We o er our lives to proclaim

I once was lost in darkest night

Yet thought I knew the way

The sin that promised joy and life

Had led me to the grave

I had no hope that You would own

A rebel to Your will

And if You had not loved me rst

I would refuse You still

fi
But as I ran my hell-bound race

Indi erent to the cost

You looked upon my helpless state

And led me to the cross

And I beheld God’s love displayed

You su ered in my place

You bore the wrath reserved for me

Now all I know is grace

ff
ff
Hallelujah! All I have is Christ

Hallelujah! Jesus is my life

Now, Lord, I would be Yours alone

And live so all might see

The strength to follow Your commands

Could never come from me

Oh Father, use my ransomed life

In any way You choose

And let my song forever be

My only boast is You

Hallelujah! All I have is Christ

Hallelujah! Jesus is my life

Hallelujah! All I have is Christ

Hallelujah! Jesus is my life

All I Have Is Christ

Dear refuge of my weary soul,

on Thee, when sorrows rise,

On Thee, when waves of trouble roll,

my fainting hope relies.

To Thee I tell each rising grief,

for Thou alone canst heal;

Thy Word can bring a sweet relief

for every pain I feel.

But oh! When gloomy doubts prevail,

I fear to call Thee mine;

The springs of comfort seem to fail,

and all my hopes decline.

Yet gracious God, where shall I ee?

Thou art my only trust;

And still my soul would cleave to Thee,

though prostrate in the dust.

fl
Hast Thou not bid me seek Thy face,
and shall I seek in vain?

And can the ear of sov’reign grace

be deaf when I complain?

No, still the ear of sov’reign grace

attends the mourner’s prayer;

O may I ever nd access

to breathe my sorrows there.

fi
Thy mercy seat is open still,

here let my soul retreat;

With humble hope attend Thy will,

and wait beneath Thy feet.

Thy mercy seat is open still,

here let my soul retreat;

With humble hope attend Thy will,

and wait beneath Thy feet.

Beneath the cross of Jesus

I nd a place to stand,

And wonder at such mercy

That calls me as I am;

For hands that should discard me

Hold wounds which tell me, "Come."

Beneath the cross of Jesus

My unworthy soul is won.

fi
Beneath the cross of Jesus

His family is my own—

Once strangers chasing sel sh dreams,

Now one through grace alone.

How could I now dishonor

The ones that You have loved?

Beneath the cross of Jesus

See the children called by God.

fi
Beneath the cross of Jesus—

The path before the crown—

We follow in His footsteps

Where promised hope is found.

How great the joy before us

To be His perfect bride;

Beneath the cross of Jesus

We will gladly live our lives.

Beneath the Cross

Alas, and did my Savior bleed

And did my Sovereign die?

Would He devote that sacred head

For such a worm as I?

Was it for sins that I had done

He groaned upon the tree?

Amazing pity, grace unknown

And love beyond degree

My God, why would
You shed Your blood

So pure and unde led

To make a sinful one like me

Your chosen, precious child?

fi

Well might the sun in darkness hide

And shut His glories in

When Christ, the mighty Maker, died

For man, the creature’s, sin

Thus might I hide my blushing face

While His dear cross appears

Dissolve my heart in thankfulness

And melt my eyes to tears

My God, why would
You shed Your blood

So pure and unde led

To make a sinful one like me

Your chosen, precious child?

fi

My God, why would
You shed Your blood

So pure and unde led

To make a sinful one like me

Your chosen, precious child?

Alas, and Did My Savior Bleed
