THE SUBJUNCTIVE

Use the subjunctive form of a verb in a noun clause that follows a verb or adjective of
urgency, obligation, or advisability. Look at the list of these verbs and adjectives and
examples of the subjunctive.

Note: The subjunctive in the noun clause doesn’t change, no matter what the time frame of
the entire sentence is.
