Q1-
The market segment that would most likely welcome robots is the younger generation due to
them having the ability to understand such complex invention. The consumer characteristics that
have to be taken into consideration are how does the consumer see the robots,. When we talk of
what the robots could do for the consumer the case study mentioned the robots doing everyday
task such as playing with children, serving you drinks and food, Cleaning and other such
activities. It also mentioned the robots taking care of the elderly and of the sick so the
possibilities are endless as long as there is development for such technology. Any how we cannot
assure the adjustment of the elderly with it whereas the young generation would be immensely
comfortable with it
Q2-
FRT could potentially be an extremely strong marketing tool for the advertisement of products
but only to the extent that it would be public places and doesn’t intrude on the privacy of others.
As mentioned in the case study the ability of FRT to both read your face and estimate general
physical characteristics can be a way for marketers to personalize the ads and cater to every
segment of the market simultaneously with them giving an example of window shopping that
would cater its ads to the person passing by and also read the expression and attentiveness of that
person to determine what type of ad to show them based on his reaction the interest he shows to
such products. It would drastically change the game of advertising products with it previously
being that a marketer would be trying to find the perfect spot for them so that hopefully the
person interested would buy it. This can increase efficiency evidently.
