Homeroom Activity for February 5

Instructions:

Play the short film “The Wrong Rock” during homeroom time, the link will be provided where it can be
downloaded. Processing questions will be given to the students after the short film, encourage group
sharing; allot 10 minutes for the breakout session. After the breakout session, encourage and ask for
volunteers who would like to share their insights as a group or as an individual in relation to the short
film.

Processing questions for breakout session:

1. What message does the short film trying to convey?

2. How do you appreciate/respect the individuality of each person?

3. Is there a need for us sometimes to change or hide some aspects of ourselves to fit the ideals of the
society or the standards of a group?

Processing question after the breakout session:

1. What did you feel after watching the short film?

2. In this society with different ideals, is it difficult to maintain individuality?

*This short film talks about individuality and self-acceptance. I hope that students will enjoy it
and gain significant insights through the message conveyed in this short film. May they continue
to be genuine individuals that are driven by their dreams and values without sacrificing their
identity and to not be confused with the societal ideals present in this world.
