§iX) TECHNONICOL cs ‘Water resistant polymer aonding aid and mortar additive Description Euro Bond SBR is a modified styrene butadiene rubber emulsion which supplied asa ready to use white liquid. tis designed to improve bond adhesive and other applications such as cementitious mortar and slurries ‘Advantages 1 Improves adhesive strength of cementitious tle adhesive and other cementitious based products + Improves cohesion and workability Improves mortars to provide waterproot repairs, renders and toppings. which are highly resistant + Non-toxic, non-corrosive and non flammable + Increases adhesion, flexural and tensile strength + Reduces water permeability Uses + Asan additive to repair mortars for patching an fling Works aso as a bonding agent fo rendering tie fxing and masonry jointing mortars, etc + Cenalso be used asa bonding grout between old and new concrete, as well asin construction joints + Waterproof renders, floor toppings, cementitious slurries and screeds Consumption and Coverage ae ‘The consumption rate is approximately: mg oH Bonding Coat 025-03 krs = Repair & Patching 06-2.2 Its aoc Floor Sereeds 0s-2.0kts Renderings 5-12 Its Adhesive Mortar 07-10kr (verage thickness 10mm perm") Instruction for Use Preparation Form the extremities of the application area to a depth of at least 10mm to avoid festher-edging and to provide a square edge. Ensure a "minimum depth of 6mm is observed inthe remaining rea, upto the previously formed edge. Clean the surface, remove any dust, unsound or contaminated material, plaster, all, paint, grease, corrasion, deposits of algze. Steam cleaning, detergent scrubbing or use 2 proprietary egreaser to remove oll and grease deposits. Where breaking out isnot required, roughen the surface and remove any latance by light scrabbling or grt-lastng Mixing Mix sand and cement fist, then add Euro Bond SBR solution as required. Mic either by hand or with a low speed dri for no more than 2 minutes Application Spread the mixed Euro Bond SBR at 2 minimum thickness of 3 to 6mm thickness, dependent on the location and configuration of the repair If the recommended thickness is exceeded and sagging occurs, the affected section must be completely remeved and reapplied in accordance with the procedure described earlier. Precautions and Limitations Euro Bond SBR should nat be expased to moving water during aplication. Exposure to heavy rainfall prior tothe final set may result in surface ‘cour. Euro Bone SBR should be thoroughly mixed, no longer than 2 mins otherwise too much alr may be entrained. When working with Euro Bond SBR, observe the following rules when working with ordinary cement mortars. Clean and prewet surface (saturated surface dry). For ‘multi-layered application, always work wet-on-wet Protect against rapid drying and extreme temperature.
