Bloom’s Taxonomy Level(s):

☐ Remembering ☐ Understanding ☒ Applying ☐ Analyzing ☐ Evaluating ☐ Creating

Levels of Technology Integration:

☐ Infusion Level: Students may work at a higher Bloom’s Level, but they do not have any “Voice or Choice”
during the activity and most of the decisions are made by the teacher.

☐ Integration Level: We would like to see ALL lessons/activities reach this level. The project is student-
driven. Students have “Voice and Choice” in the activities, selecting the topic of study and determining the
technology tool to demonstrate mastery of the standard. All products of learning are unique and
personalized. The teacher becomes more of a facilitator walking around monitoring the student-led
activity.
☒ Expansion Level: The projects created are shared outside of the classroom, publishing student work and
promoting authorship. This could be reached by showcasing the project on the school’s morning
newscast, posting the project to the classroom blog, or publishing via an outside source.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL):

-This tool and this lesson would be great as a formative assessment at the end of a unit. It has questions
throughout which your students could answer. Having the Powerpoint as a video is beneficial because then
students have audio and visual support. They are able to receive the information in the slides in many
different ways.
Lesson idea implementation: This powerpoint will be used at the end of the lesson as an assessment. That
being said, prior to this the students will have already known about shapes and have been introduced to the
relational vocabulary. Students will be able to interact with the e-book I have created helping them practice
and stay engaged in the content.

Afterwards, students could collaborate on an activity in small groups where they identify shapes. They could
use cutouts and position them in different ways and then have classmates describe their relationship. Doing
this activity after watching the ebook will help the students remember the information better. This lesson
should take about thirty minutes to complete.
