PHOTO PHILOSOPHY 2

Photo Philosophy

My photo essay includes everything that best describes me in pictures. Who I am, what I

do, what I believe in, my aspirations and what I speak for. All of these photos have a different

sentimental value to me and representation to my life whether it is a person or photo that I have

taken previously. My personal philosophy is “When everything seems to be going against you,

remember that an airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.” -Henry Ford
PHOTO PHILOSOPHY 3

Influential People: Personal; My Mum and Sister

This photo represents the meaningful bond that I have with my mum and sister. We have

gone through a lot together and no matter what we will always have eachothers backs, we can

count on each other throughout the hardest times of our lives and know that we will push each

other to be the best version of ourselves that we possibly could be. Having to go through life

without having the never ending support I get from these two would not be bearable.
PHOTO PHILOSOPHY 4

Influential People: ECE Philosopher; Vygotsky

I choose this photo as a representation of Lev Vygotsky’s theory. His theory to me

symbolizes how everyone needs to start somewhere and that is usually at the lowest point in

order to work and become on top. It is the support and work that you need to put in to be able to

achieve your goals and rise to the top. In ECE children start at the bottom with low knowledge, it

takes time, patience, and work in order for them to achieve their maximum development. This

photo was the first photo I ever took as an aspiring photographer now I do photoshoots in

toronto.
PHOTO PHILOSOPHY 5

Influential People: Personal Experience During Program; Brittany McColeman

This photo is one of my friends that I met throughout this program, Brittany McColeman.

Everyone in this program that I have met is very supportive and encouraging while we are all

going through the program together. Brittany has been my friend since day one and has helped

me push through on my lowest days and been there to celebrate with me on my highest days.

Without her support and friendship keeping me pushing through virtual schooling I would not be

where I am today.
PHOTO PHILOSOPHY 6

Core Values: Respect

This photo represents everything that respect should mean to a person. Being a

competitive cheerleading team traveling all around the world together as a family creates the

utmost respect for one another. As an Early Childhood Educator you have respect for not only

the children you are working with but your team of staff members. Being respectful will set a

good example for the children as well as allow you to create meaningful relationships with

everyone around you.

PHOTO PHILOSOPHY 7

Core Value: Trust

This photo is my representation of trust. The amount of trust you need to rely on your

base partner for them no to drop you is immaculate, you need to feel safe and trust the people

and your surroundings. When you fall you need to trust that they will be there to catch you. As

an Early Childhood Educator it is very important to trust the people you are working with and for

the children to trust you, ensuring a safe environment for everyone to talk and feel comfortable.
PHOTO PHILOSOPHY 8

Supporting Values: Diversity and Inclusion

This photo represents diversity and inclusion. Everyone and anyone no matter what they

look like, their cultural beliefs, gender, age, colour of their skin or social background should feel

left out. Diversity is a value that is shown in mutual respect and appreciation for one's

similarities and differences. As an Early Childhood Educator I will make sure that everyone

always feels included and important in their daily life and is not being left out.
PHOTO PHILOSOPHY 9

This photo I took of the sunset and road ahead represents the path of life. There is plenty

of road and life ahead, you just need to set out on the journey for opportunities to arise. It's not

about the destination but the journey that will never end, you need to push yourself into

beginning to explore your journey of success because that is the real meaning of life. The only

enemy you have in this world is yourself.
