EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 12-10

Series of 2020

“AN ORDER SUSPENDING THE CLASSES OF TIPO-TIPO NATIONAL HIGH

SCHOOL FOR THREE DAYS ”

WHEREAS, Proclamation nos. 922 and 929 of the Office of the President and Joint
Resolution No. 12(s. 2020) dated March 13, 2020 of the Inter Agency Task Force for the
Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases have laid down strategies and guidelines
regarding the imposition of stringent social distancing measures throughout the country.;

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 16 of Republic Act no. 7160 otherwise known as the
Local Government Code of 1991, Every Local Government Unit shall promote the general
welfare, specifically, the protection of health and safety of its people;

WHEREAS, last October 26, 2020, one of the teachers of Tipo-Tipo Central Elementary
School tested positive for COVID19 and results of the contact tracing revealed that several
other teachers and individuals had direct contact with her;

WHEREAS, to give way to disinfection, prevent the spread of virus in the school,nearby
schools and community and to aid the government in suppressing the virus, and
considering the seriousness of the developing COVID-19, there is a need to provide a
strict measure to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the students and constituents of
Tipo-Tipo;

NOW THEREFORE, by the powers vested in me by law, I, ARCAM P. ISTARUL,

Municipal Mayor of the Municipality of Tipo-Tipo, Basilan, do hereby order that:

1. Effective immediately, to suspend the classes in Tipo-Tipo National High School

for Three(3) days.

2. The three days suspension shall give way to disinfection and contact tracing.

3. During the three days suspension, any individual to include teachers, parents and
students shall not be allowed entry in the premises of the school.

4. The Punong Barangay and its members, Philippine National Police, with the
support of 18th Infantry Battalion shall provide necessary support for the
enforcement of this Order.

5. Violators who will fail to abide by the foregoing, shall be subjected to appropriate
action, both criminal and administrative, in accordance with relevant laws and
regulations.

This Executive Order shall be effective immediately after signing.
