The majority of the film is either interview to his family members or the reenactment
of the situation.

The opening shot is archived footage (representing real life story).

Opens with contrapuntal music (music is sinister and dark, however the images
represent happy family). We have a freeze frame at the end of archived shots,
representing Nicholas’s face, where this is the last time we see his face.

Letters in the movie have fade effects, where they vanish, just like the kid Nicholas
Barclay, truth and reality. Colours of the text are black and white, representing good
and bad sides.

Reenactment starts with an establishing shot, on where Nicholas’s mother works. We

then see reverse motion to back in time to show the reenactment of Nicholas being
found.

Reenactment start with Film Noir effects, such as: dark, raining, mystery, narrator,
chiaroscuro and low key lighting. Using shallow focus short and tracking effects, in
order to add mystery and metaphorically tracking the truth.

The movie has relation to deseption global issue where the imposter is shown with a
shadow and chiaroscuro effect.

We then see Friedrik making confessional monologue when looking directly at the
camera and confess his story. The chiaroscuro effect is visible, showing two different
perspectives (good and bad), it may also respect his two personalities (Friedrik and
Nicholas). Either we barely see anything at his background, which is related to his
hidden identity.

When police arrives we can observe crane shot to represent the location.
By the shot with the watch, we can understand that Friedrik is planning everything in
lot details before everyone else.

He wears clothes that hides his identity, which is related to the global issues.
When imposter sits in the police car, we can observe lip sync.
In police station we got subliminal image, when showing danger in relation to the
imposter.
