The graph depicts four different kinds of accommodation opted by holidaymakers in the year 1965, 1985

and 2005

Overall, people chose to stay with friends or relatives on holiday, for preference in 1965, which gradually
replaced by hotel in 2005. It was witnessed that tourists were less likely to stay at their familiars while
there was an upward trend in checking in hotels over the period of 40 years.

In 1965, homestay vacations accounted for over a half. This figure, however, sharply declined to 35%
and 30% in 1985 and 2005. In controversy, more travelers picked hotel for accommodations which gave
figure for the rise from 16 % to 38% after four decades and became the most popular lodging in 2005.

As it is given in the illustration, caravans made up for merely 14% in 1965. This figure dropped slightly to
10% in 1985 and finally doubled in 2005. In contrast, the popularity of camping witnessed a modest rise
from 15% to 18% between 1965 and 1985. However, after 2 decades this figure considerably went down
to 12% in 2005.
