Always Seek Krishna Upwards

This incident is from the time when Rukmini was slated to marry Shishupal. Prior to the wedding,
Rukmini visits the Ambika temple from where Krishna is expected to come and steal her away. She looks
down to see if Krishna has arrived, but doesn’t see him. Then, she looks upwards and sees that Krishna
has arrived. He gives her a hand and helps her board the horse driven chariot.

The subtle meaning of this is, one must seek God upwards. Even the Vedas mention it as
“Atyatiṣṭhaddaśāṅgulam”. When one meditates upon the divine by considering Him to be the higher
being and the supreme one, Krishna comes and gives a hand to alleviate and emancipate us.

ರುಗ್ಮಿಣಿಯನ್ನು ಶಿಶುಪಾಲನಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿ ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಎಂದು ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಸಂಗವದು. ರುಗ್ಮಿಣಿಯು
ಮದುವೆಗೆ ಮೊದಲು ಅಂಬಿಕೆಯ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು, ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ ವೇ ಎಂದು ಕೆಳಗೆ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಕೃಷ್ಣ ನು ಬಂದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ .

ನಂತರ ಮೇಲೆ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಬಂದಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಕೃಷ್ಣ ತನ್ನ ಕೈ ನೀಡಿ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ (ಕುದುರೆ ರಥಕ್ಕೆ) ಹತ್ತಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳು ತ್ತಾನೆ.
ಭಗವಂತನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಬೇಕಾದದ್ದು ಮೇಲೆ. ಅತ್ಯ ತಿಷ್ಠ ದ್ದ ಶಾಂಗುಲಮ್ ಎಂದಿದೆ ಶ್ರು ತಿ. ಅಂದರೆ ಭಗವಂತನು ನಮಗಿಂತ
ಮೇಲಿನವ, ಸರ್ವೋತ್ತಮ ಎಂಬ ಚಿಂತನೆ ಮೂಡಿದಾಗ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ನು ಬಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ನ್ನು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆತ್ತಿ ಉದ್ಧ ರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
