We used data source from Pubmed, ScienceDirect, and Google, and used COVID-19, elective

surgery, and operating room as keywords. .... were done in systematic way start from January
2020 until November 2020. We found 30 journal, and the journal was excluded if it was an
article review, comment about previous journal, or writer’s opinion, so we obtain 21 journal
to be reviewed. Based on collected articles, the result shows that operation procedures during
COVID-19 pandemic considered as one of most risky procedure for not only medical staff
but also patients to get infected by COVID-19. Methods which could be applied to decrease
COVID-19 transmission were patient screening before surgery procedure, limitation of
medical staff in operating room, and application of negative ventilation system in operating
room during surgery procedure in pandemic. Further study should find out more about the
effect of application of various methodes towards post operation patients as a tracing
procedure to discover COVID-19 infection caused by surgery procedure in operating room.

were prefer to postponed their surgery procedure until the pandemic is over, or do it in
“COVID-19-free” health service center, but some of them still want to continue their surgery
procedure. Postponed surgery procedure can cause hospitality’s income depresed and
inmortality and increased morbidity and mortality number. In dealing with the problem, some
of previous research shows lots of methode that can be used to minimize the risk of COVID-
19’s infection in elective surgery (Wick et al., 2020).

Some of methode which applied in America, England, and some others country were
a regulation for patient to stay at least 2 days in hospital before their surgery procedure, doing
PCR’s test for asymptomatic patient, and doing 2 different test separatly in 24 hours
accompenied with CT Scan’s examination, the same method were applied for patient who
come to emergency departement. All the patients are required to use mask before entering
operating room until the operator have done the surgery procedure. For patient who
confirmed with COVID-19 before surgery, should given symptomatic medicine before and
during surgery. For patient who confirmed with COVID-19 after surgery, there must be done
a tracing procedure for medical staff who have contact with those patient, and suggest to do
self-isolation (Leroy et al., 2020).. Medical staff who will do a contact with patient should be
informed about health protocol that should be done, personal protective equipment’s
procedure, limitation of medical staff in operating room, and doing patient’s track setting
before entering operating room to decrease patient’s interaction and decrease infection’s risk
(Moletta et al., 2020).

DISSCUSSION

COVID-19 pandemic caused lot of impact in every aspect, one of them were health
service aspect. This pandemic caused loss in hospital’s financial because of postponed
elective surgery procedure (Gammeri et al., 2020). Moreover, COVID-19 pandemic could
increase nosocomial’s infection risk because of surgery procedure like open suctioning,
smoke generation (monopolar, bipolar diathermy, laser, and internal fixation procedure in
orthopaedic) (Andreata et al., 2020). Lots of healthcare system worldwide make a new
strategies to continue elective surgery procedures in secure and controlled way.

National Health Service (NHS) prioritize surgery’s patient based on : emergency

criteria which is the surgery procedure should done in 24 hours, urgent criteria whis ic the
surgery procedure should done in 72 hours, surgery procedure which can be postponed until 4
