AN ACT ARRANGING TRADE WITH SEVERAL NATIONS AND FACILITATING


EXCHANGE OF ORGANIC PRODUCTS
EXPLANATORY NOTE
These arrangements will provide additional market opportunities for Filipino organic producers.
It seeks to help open new markets for organic farmers and handlers, with multiple foreign
governments to establish international trade arrangements for organic products.
These efforts will allow Philippine organic products to be sold as organic internationally. This
act include three trade policy that will aid Filipino farmers.
1 Section 1. Short Title.— This Act shall be known as
2 “International Organic Trade Policy Act”.
3 Sec. 2. Declaration of Policy.- The Philippines should harness
4 the potential of Filipino farmers by opening new markets for them
5 internationally.
6 Sec 3. Organic Fund Policy.— This propose funding for
7 Filipino farmers who doesn’t have the financial capability to trade
8 with foreign countries. This will also encourage them to expand their
9 market.
10 Sec 4. Organic Standards Policy.— This provide standards of
11 to allow Filipino organic products to be sold as organic in foreign
12 Countries without maintaining certification to multiple standards.

13 Sec 5. Eco-Trade Policy.— This encourages environmental friendly


14 International trading. This will not only help Filipino farmers but

15 it will also help the environment.


16 Sec. 6. Separability Clause. — If any provision or part hereof
17 is held invalid or unconstitutional, the remainder of the law or the
18 provision or part not otherwise affected shall remain valid and
19 subsisting.
20 Sec. 7. Repealing Clause.— Any law, presidential decree or
21 issuance, executive order, letter of instruction, administrative
22 order, rule, or regulation contrary to or inconsistent with the
23 provisions of this Act are hereby repealed, modified, or amended
24 accordingly.
25 Sec. 12. Effectivity. — This Act shall take effect fifteen (15)
26 days after its 20 publication in the Official Gazette or in a
27 newspaper of general circulation.
