Universal Design for Learning (UDL): Students will have a choice in data collection, design, and presentation
format. They will be able to collect data by asking classmates in person or through a google form. If a student
has an issue with vision, or something that inhibits them to use google forms, manual collection is fine. They
then can choose the design they want as well as how they present the design. This gives all students options
for the project, and they can adapt it to what way works best for them.

Lesson idea implementation: Students will track their sleep in a journal (how many hours they get each
night) for one week. After doing so, they will average their hours per night. They will then create a survey or
poll on google forms to get sleep data on their classmates, and their average hours of sleep per night. Once
they have collected this data, they will use Venngage to create a unique mind map to present the data in the
best way they believe possible. Students will share this information with their classmates by presenting what
they found.

Reflective Practice: This activity could be used for many different lessons. Collecting data in this way and
presenting it can be utilized for most topics. This activity helps students integrate their own ideas into
research and is beneficial for promoting independence in learning.
