Thesis statement : Technological Advances have many positive and negative impacts on
various aspects of indonesian people’s lives, particularly in the area of politics,
economics, socio-cultural, and education.

A. The Influence of Technological Advances in Political Societies
1. The Positive Impacts
a) Facilitate the community in delivering their aspiration easily to the
government (DPR, MPR, DPD, DPRD).
2. The Negative Impacts
a) Requires a large budget that can come from indonesian society/the people
itself.
b) The information from the government reach only to people who understand
technology.
B. The Influence of Technological Advances in Economics Societies
1. The Positive Impacts
a) Increase community productivity in carrying out economic activities.
b) Facilitate the community in conducting buying and selling transactions
2. The Negative Impacts
a) It doesn’t guarantee people in buying and selling transaction.
b) Change the behaviour of community into consumtive and just want the
instant way.
C. The Influence of Technological Advances in Socio-cultural Activities
1. The Positive Impacts
a) Facilitate people to do their daily activities.
b) Make people easier to communicate with each other.
c) People can obtain information easily from any sources.
2. The Negative Impacts
a) Change people’s attitudes and lifestyle in a bad habit.
b) It can make people become dependent on technology.
c) Emerging hoax that can ruin the societies.

1. The Positive Impacts
a) The learning process of students no longer needs to be done face-to-face and
will be upgraded by online systems.
b) Increase the quality of human resources by utilization of technology
2. The Negative Impacts
a) Students become lazy if they learn by internet, they will more focus on
playing games rather that studying.
b) Misuse of technological knowledge for negative things.
III. Conclusion
We can see that the impact of technologal advance like two opposite sides of coin. There
are many good impacts for our life. But it can make a bad habit that can be dangerous not
only for our self, but also another people.
