1 Grammar Review
Aims: To review and practise grammar from the unit. This
can be completed when students have finished the unit.
Time: 15–20 minutes
Materials: One set of cards cut up for each group of
students
• Divide students into groups of three or four. Give them
a set of dominoes and ask them to deal them out face
down to the group, giving an equal number to each
player.
• Ask a student to lay down a domino face up and explain
that each student must look at their dominoes and take
turns to lay one down at either end of the domino or
line of dominoes. Also explain that the two dominoes
together must form a proper sentence or question. If
students aren’t sure if something is correct, they should
ask you.

dominoes.
• Set a time limit for the game. Fast finishers can play
again.
• At the end of the game, check any sentences that
caused problems.
