1. Which of the policies proposed in document NSC68 contain approaches from both
Liberalism and Constructivism?

In the NSC68 the main feature I observe is that it calls for international cooperation
in order to put a stop on USSR influence, “help such of those nations”. Even though
the main objective is to “place the maximum strain on the soviet structure” they still
want to help out other countries to fight the USSR oppression. Another example in
which they acknowledge of the need for other countries in order to eradicate the
threat “Without such cooperative effort”.

One main feature of constructivism that I observe in the NSC 68 is the framing of
the USSR as the enemy that wants to spread the communism ideology and its
seeking to subjugate and destroy liberty “to cause the world at large to see and
understand the true nature of the USSR”. The desire to remove people's blinders and
discover the real nature of the threat they face.
