Freshman Advising Spring – 2021

➢ Advising will be started on February 11th, 2021

➢ Advising will be conducted by the respective department Chairman

➢ New student does not need to advise their courses by themselves

➢ Students need to login to RDS on February, 12th to check the courses advised by their respective
department Chairman.

➢ Student can add or drop courses on February, 12th by themselves

➢ Students need to agree on Terms and Condition right after login to RDS

➢ Student can advise in phase 3 starting from February, 14th – the day when class starts

➢ Student can only add courses in phase 3 but will not be allowed to drop

➢ It’s the same process for all undergrad and grad freshman students.

Note:

1. Freshman students will be sent with an SMS on how to login to student information system
(RDS). These students need to login to RDS to get themselves familiarize with the system. They
need to login to RDS again to check the advising completed by their department Chairman on
February 11th.

2. Freshman students will be sent with an SMS on handling NSU email platform. They should
consult the manuals as to how to login to their online classes – it’s Google G-Suite

3. Freshman students need to keep an eye on NSU website to get the manuals for all the systems
stated above.
