A Soldier’s Poem

If I die in a war zone, box me up and send me home.

Put my medals on my chest, tell my mom I did my best.
Tell my dad not to bow he won’t get tension from me now.
Tell my bro to study perfectly, key of my bike will be his permanently.
Tell my sister not to be upset, her bro will take a long sleep after sunset.
Tell my nation not to cry, because I’m a soldier born to die.

Father
T’was a rainy day
Dad opened the door
He’s mumbling
I rolled my eyes
Here we go again
I stepped out
Embracing the sun slowly dropping
I stopped and saw the green guy passing
The rain stopped
I heard the sound of gun
I looked back and saw the glass cracking
Everything stopped
I saw the green guy running\
I run back to the store
Open the door
And there I see my dad lying
I put my hand on his chest
To stop the bleeding
I looked at him
There I saw the great man retiring
