Insert trivia on sports

To our rector-president, Rev. Fr. Villasis, to our guest speaker, Hon. Miraflores, to our
ACC priests, to the faculty and staff, to the students, parents, guests, and most
especially to our athletes. Maayad-ayad nga agahon katon tanan!
Being in a school is not just about cultivating the mind. To make a whole human person
we need activities that enable us to nurture our talents and skills, our sense of
accountability, commitment, dedication, cooperation and collaboration. Sports is a great
way of achieving these things. Pope Francis said that sports is at the service of
humanity, it is a way of giving the best of yourself in strengthening ties camaraderie.
The Hampang Kitahanon is one such sports festival that pays attention to nourish our
holistic development.
In these times everything seems to happen and change instantly because of the
internet. Our face-to-face interaction with people is most often mediated by cold hard
devices we call our gadgets. We only get to say brief hellos to the people around us
and miss the opportunity to create genuine relations. This sports festival is a great
exercise not just for the body but for our mind and soul for we get to share worthwhile
experiences friends and family, to be re-integrated to the community.
To the athletes, you are at the core of Hampang Kitahanon. In all your games and
performances, always remember to be good models of the ACC core values of Faith,
Accountability, Character, Excellence, and Service.
Welcome to the ACC Hampang Kitahanon 2018. We have an exciting, fun, meaningful,
and unforgettable week ahead of us. A great day to everyone.
