Abstract

Mechanics in this field have a wide variety of skill sets, and advantages when it comes to

opportunities, and job outlooks. There are a small number of jobs, but the demand for them is

very strong. Motorcycle mechanics stay busy due to the fact that bikes are always breaking

down, and being bought and sold.

There are several major brands of motorcycles and dirt bikes that dealers may provide service to.

Some of these brands may include Yamaha, Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki, Harley Davidson, and

KTM. Motorcycle mechanics may also be classified as “powersport mechanics”. Some major

powersport brands that dealers may provide service to include Polaris, Yamaha, Ski-Doo (BRP),

and Arctic cat.
