Notes on Person A

This student is very outspoken and always ready for music.

Noticing that she is more extroverted than others, she always
tries to speak her mind when giving the correct answer if she
is given the opportunity. I would want to make sure that other
students are given the opportunity as well as her for
participation purposes. If I at least call on her once during the
lesson, that’ll give her the time to share her thoughts on the
concept we are talking about and eagerly make a connection
with something she recognized about it.

Notes on Person B
This student is gifted in music. The first lesson I observed
with him he made a connection to the bassoon sound he
heard in class from a scene in the Nutcracker. He is more on
the introverted side compared to other students and when he
wants to share something, it is important to make sure that
he gets a chance to show the class what he wants to tell
everyone. As I continue with my student teaching placement
here in the coming weeks, I’ll need to make sure that if he
wants the chance to speak and share his thoughts to allow
him to do so. I’ll also provide some extra fun activities for him
if he ever finished an assignment before others.
