Teacher’s Prayer

Dear God,

I seek your guidance and blessing as I take my journey in this vast ocean of life’s
uncertainty. I pray that your wisdom and protection will always be with me. Lord, as I enlist
myself to the growing number of noble educators, let me be just what they need.

If they need someone they can trust, let me be a trustworthy person, if they need who will
care for them, let me be a caring person, if they need compassion, let me be passionate for them
as you are to me. Lord, teach me to be just and make me someone not easily consumed by anger
that will lead to unjust and rush decisions that may affect the people around me. Make me a
people-person instead.

Allow me dear God to love my students, a love that will always lead them to better future
as I become your instrument to nurture them. Give me the heart to look at everyone without
prejudice and a heart with eyes to see everyone equally through their diversity. Let me become
your guiding light to bring the next generation into the destiny they are appointed to according to
your master plan.

Thank you for making me the person that you want me to be. Amen.
