Metrological traceability consists of an unbroken and documented chain of calibrations to a

reference measurement standard, practical performance of the definition of a unit of measure or a

measurement procedure by measurement procedures documented, which allow the results to be
related of measurement, in general to the units of the International System (SI), and also allows to
have a robust and complete system that generates confidence in the client.

By calibrating the equipment and ensuring the traceability of the equipment used in the quality
control laboratory, the results of this laboratory are validated and it is ensured that the results of
this laboratory are reproducible if they are carried out in another plant. This is especially
important in the case of manufacturers who make a component of a product that has parts from
different manufacturers. If your piece does not correspond to what your client needs, it will be
rejected.
