SEMINAR BRIEF Building structures are generally designed to resist and sustain the effect of loads and forces which are basically categorized
AND OBJECTIVE: as gravity loads and lateral forces. The lateral forces as prescribed in Sections 207 and 208 of the National Structural Code
of the Philippines (NSCP) for wind loads and earthquake loads, respectively, are thoroughly discussed in Chapter 2 Minimum
Design Loads. This technical conference provides comprehensive discussion with solved problems applying the step-by-step
procedures in computing the wind loads and earthquake loads on buildings.
