Many years ago,


when Earth was formed,
it was very hot.
Soil Layers of the Earth
Rains Thunder-Storm
Rains and thunder-storms
cooled the outer portion and
different life forms started.

The outer cool layer on which we live is called Crust.

Earth's crust is covered with landforms, air and water.

There are many Soil levels, these are starting from CRUST.

O Horizon or Organic

This is first layer consists


Of Organic Materials.

A Horizon or Top Soil

This is 2nd Layer contains dark


decomposed organic matter, which
is called "humus".

B Horizon or Sub Soil

This is 3rd layer is rich in


Minerals Harvested through
Rain Water.

This is 4th Layer, A mass of small


and big rocks that forms
the parent material

C Horizon or Parent
Material

This is last Layer, A mass


BIG rocks such as granite, basalt,
limestone or sandstone that forms
Bed Rock.
