[1] - Motion of the object is object’s movement from one place to another

- You can describe the motion of an object by its position, speed, direction, and
acceleration.
[2] - We have Newton's 3 (three) Laws of Motion.
- Newton’s first law states that, if a body is at rest or moving at a constant speed in
a straight line, it will remain at rest or keep moving in a straight line at constant
speed unless it is acted upon by a force.
- According to Newton's first law of motion, an object remains in the same state of
motion unless an external resultant force acts on it. If the resultant force on an
object is zero, this means:

+ a stationary object stays stationary

+ a moving object continues to move at the same velocity (at the same speed and in
the same direction

- It is called the law of motion because it tells that every material body has a
property by virtue of which it resists the change in its state of rest or in its state
of motion. This property is called inertia.

- An example of this law is throwing balls: Say you have two balls that are the
same size, but one is a light beach ball and the other is a heavy bowling ball. The
bowling ball is going to be harder to move, and harder to stop once it’s moving.
